How Can You Make Money Blogging? What does it have to do with social media?

Imagine the internet as a series of blankets with different categories and people with various interests picnicking on blankets according to different interests. You already have what it takes to win.  As a teacher, you’re a master communicator.  Even if you don’t believe in yourself, you’re a skilled writer compared to 97% of the population.  Writing is easier for you than most people because you probably do it all the time (think about when you whip up an email about a dicey situation in class or document an encounter with a volatile parent).

You get to write about subjects what YOU CHOOSE, instead of just in red pen on the side of students’ essays or some bureaucratic form. Now get paid for writing your OWN comments and opinions. You get to call your own shots, and only write about subjects you feel like. You get the autonomy of picking and choosing because it’s your blog. It’s your personal real estate on the internet.

3. You’re in control.  No other way for making extra money for teachers offers this much flexibility.  You don’t need to worry about arranging child care to work some part-time low-paying job in the mall (lower paying than teaching!!) 4. My daughter frequently looks over my shoulder at what I’m writing and makes comments.  She also helps select graphics to insert into posts.
