Lifevantage, headquartered in Salt Lake, Utah, USA was founded in 2003. It became a public company in 2004 because of one product: Protandim.  Protandim helps the body reduce oxidative stress by the activation of Nrf2, thereby  reducing free radicals.

ABC’s Primetime featured Protandim on its show in 2005. Product sales began to stagnate until finally in 2009 Protandim was removed from all retail shelves.  This was the make-or-break moment for Lifevantage– how to effectively market an ingenious product without the traditional brick and mortar presence.  Lifevantage turned to David Brown, former CEO of Metabolife, to begin an new era utilizing network marketing as the vehicle to distribute Protandim. The company developed two new products, Truescience and Canine Health. Now Lifevantage is a player in the nutraceutical arena.

How will the company fare? One hiccup has occurred recently with recall of Protandim lots in 2012, but Lifevantage has taken its lumps like a champ and is forging ahead full steam.  Another recent loss is the retirement of Dr. Joe McCord,

Lifevantage has proven that in the face of difficulties they have the fortitiude to move forward and progress. This attitiude will serve them and any prospective representative well. Lifevantage has also enlisted Donny Osmond and Montel Williams to project a successful strategy and product offering. These promoters will have to prove themselves over time since the real work of marketing is done by the viral networking of distributors.
